Dropcloth Samplers are designed by US based textile artist Rebecca Ringquist.
 
The Schoolhouse Sampler is the newest design in our tutorial series.  This jam packed design does not disapoint.  Inspired by the history of American sampler making and makers, I filled this pattern with stitch tutorials, letters, and eight different pattern squares. 
 
You can customise by choosing your own colours and threads to make a beautiful sampler. Measures 25 cm x 30 cm or 10 x 12 inches. 
 
For best results, we recommend backing this fabric with a second piece of fabric (cotton or linen) before placing your fabric in the hoop. You'll get the flattest, most even stitches this way.
